The rustic beauty of logs are sculpted into some very interesting home accents by this South Shore artist.
The twisting, swirling shapes mimic the gnarled trees on Tahoe ridges weathering Sierra storms, while they artistically wrap and cradle Tahoe homes with a very unique style.
Peter Truszewski, owner of Tahoe Log Works, was born in Lodz, Poland and has a Master’s in Fine Art with a major in Sculpture from the University of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Peter moved to the United States in 1987, making his home in South Shore.
As a master sculptor, Peter incorporates his fine arts compositions into his bronze and wood pieces, and log creations. Every log is hand-selected to complement the specific location and then individually finished to emphasize its natural rustic beauty. His log art can be sculpted to accent every facet of the home including entries, decks, staircases, great rooms, gazebos, guardrails, handrails, beds, fireplace mantles and furniture.
In addition to his custom log work, Peter also creates wildlife sculptures and kitchen stonework to
help bring the beauty of the outdoors within.
