Who can forget his famous dinner roll that clinched his gold medal at the 1998 Winter Olympics. And, chances are you’ve heard him as the new voice of the Warren Miller ski movies. Well now you can ski with Jonny Moseley on his home mountain.
Jonny Moseley is the Chief Mountain Host at Squaw Valley USA.
Jonny Moseley’s history with Squaw Valley dates back to his childhood, as Jonny skied through the ranks of Squaw Valley’s youth ski programs, and was a member of the Squaw Valley Freestyle Team when he won gold at the Nagano Olympics. In 1998, following his gold, Squaw Valley USA renamed the infamous West Face run on KT-22 “Jonny Moseley’s Run.”
“Squaw Valley’s terrain and youth skiing programs gave me the opportunity to compete around the world and win the Olympics in 1998. During that time I always informally promoted Squaw Valley with a great sense of pride. I am ecstatic to officially work with the Squaw team to help continue to carry the torch that Alex Cushing lit making Squaw a premier world-class destination for both Northern Californians and the international crowd that Squaw attracts,” says Moseley.
In his new position Moseley will focus on introducing media, guests, and VIPs to the mountain, and sharing his unique Squaw Valley perspective. Skiers, riders, and media can get in touch with Johnny directly at jonnymoseley@squaw.com.
“As Chief Mountain Host, I really look forward to skiing, snowboarding and showing people the resort that I grew up skiing and love. Please send me a message at jonnymoseley@squaw.com – let’s get out on the mountain!”
