Visit artist studios during the free, self-guided ARTour August 12 and 13, 2019. All tours are free.
Participating artists are spread along the shores of Lake Tahoe from Incline Village to Kings Beach, through Tahoe City and out the West Shore. More artists are just a quick drive away in Truckee.
Free printed Tour Guides will be available at many local art galleries and retailers throughout the region, and at North Tahoe Arts Center in Tahoe City.
Now in its twenty-second year, ARTour provides a unique opportunity to discover, appreciate and purchase fantastic art, while touring studios that range from intimate painting alcoves to art glass studios filled with kilns to homes where art and life are one. Every artist creates a workspace to fit their personality and their creative needs. This year, artists represent a wide variety of mediums including watercolors, pastels, oils and acrylics, glass art. photography, ceramics and mixed media.
“Meet the Artist” Preview and Reception
ARTour kicks off with a free “Meet the Artist” preview exhibit and reception at the North Tahoe Arts Center in Tahoe City on August 1, from 5pm to 7pm. It’s an opportunity to chat with the artists on the tour and take a look at their work while enjoying delicious refreshments. Works from all ARTour artists will be on display and available for purchase.

Free printed Tour Guides will be available at many local art galleries and retailers throughout the region, and at North Tahoe Arts Center in Tahoe City. The Tour Guide features samples of artwork, maps and directions to the studios. More detailed information is available on www.northtahoearts.com.

North Tahoe Arts (NTA) is a non-profit organization that has been promoting and supporting the arts in the Truckee-Tahoe communities for 25 years. NTA’s mission is to support the arts in our region through exposure, education, and participation. NTA accomplishes its mission by supporting the North Tahoe Arts Center in Tahoe City which includes the ARTisan Shop, the Main Gallery, the Corison Loft Gallery and a variety of community based visual arts programs.
