Do laps all day with Glen Plake at his annual mogul marathon on one of North America’s toughest black-diamond bump runs, Gunbarrel, at Heavenly in South Lake Tahoe.

GB25 takes place in April. ♦

Everyone is invited to the annual Gunbarrel 25 hosted by Glen Plake.

Face Rats. Comet Katz. Weekend bump skiers, and even snowboarders and tele skiers.

Plake came up with the event at his home mountain to incorporate his passion for freestyle skiing with Heavenly’s legendary spring bumps on the Face.

Gunbarrel 25 is open to all advanced skiers and riders. There are multiple categories including skiers (male/female), snowboarders (male/female), under 16 (boy/girl), other (monoski, teleski, etc.); the top male and female finishers completing the most laps in the allotted time will receive the Ironman and Ironwoman awards.

This South Lake Tahoe event is an opportunity to enjoy a spring day on the mountain with one of the industry’s most prominent ski icons.  Those who complete 25 laps in the allotted time will receive a coveted GB25 finisher pin.

The GB25 starts at 9am and ends at 4pm.  To pre-register call (530) 542-5133 or visit the Heavenly Race Department Office (in the California Lodge), 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. seven days a week.  Day of registration is also available in the California Bar between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.
