While there are others who hand-modify photos, Lainie’s work stands apart. Lainie’s art photos convey a dreamy quality that transports the viewer back in time, and into the moment.

To achieve this altered state, Lainie uses a vintage instant film camera. Next, during the developing process she uses small wooden tools and paint to hand modify the photo to give it that surreal effect.

lainie_vreelandoldcoffeehouse.JPGAn accomplished artist in various mediums, Lainie has received many awards for her Hand-Modified Photo Artistry, photography and drawing.

Lainie’s photo art is on display at Vista Gallery.
