Three paintings by South Shore landscape artist Bonita Paulis have been selected for The Best of America Pastel Artists Volume II published in December 2009 which features many well known pastel artists from across the country.
“Gigantic Beauty, Eucalyptus”, “Polished Water, Echo Lake”, and “Coral & Blue” by Paulis are featured in this coffee table art book.
The Best of America Pastel Artists Volume II, published by Kennedy Publications, is available in two sections A-K and K-Z and can be purchased online. Bonita’s work has not been featured in the book before, and in fact, Kennedy Publications found her paintings while searching the Internet.
Congratulations Bonita!
The eucalyptus piece was painted in 2009, and the other two paintings are older and are Award of Excellence winners from the 2008 Pastels on High International Competition by the Sierra Pastel Society. The original painting “Polished Water, Echo Lake” can be seen at Lone Tree Gallery located at 1598 Esmeralda, Minden, Nevada, along with more of Bonita’s work.
