Two raw silk prints by Kristen Schwartz.
Lake Mother ♥ Phoenix Rising.
Creative Expression Inspired by Fire:
During the Angora fire Kristen kept herself from worrying by working on the piece – Lake Mother, a proud and joyful parent figure who watches over and keeps Lake Tahoe safe.
Kristen finished the piece the day the Angora fire went into 100% containment.
With the relief of containment came new inspiration. Kristen created Phoenix Rising to depict the resolve of a community determined to overcome their losses and begin anew.
