Tahoe: Lost & Found raises $2,080 for Library and Burn-area Landmark

Tahoe: Lost & Found Art Auction @ Valhalla, September 19 at 6pm

Get ready to bid. The Tahoe: Lost & Found Art Auction takes place September 19 at Valhalla, starting at 6pm with flamenco jazz by Martin & Vargas, and local cuisine by Blue Angel Café, Grass Roots and Wide Awake Conscious Café. Twenty-one local artists are helping to raise money to replace library books lost in the homes affected by the Angora fire and a burn-area landmark. Click here to see the 42 works of art up for bid.

At the Lost & Found art receptions this summer, Ethan Niven revealed his Phoenix that he painted on a king size bed sheet in response to the Angora Fire last year. Ethan and his family live in the area, but their house was spared.

Tahoe: Lost & Found Fund supports Community Projects

Last year, over $2,000 library books were destroyed in the houses lost in the Angora fire. This year, we're coming together again to help raise money to replace them and a few other community projects.

Call for Artists and Other Creative Locals…Inspired by Fire: Art due July 28

One can't very well run out into a burning forest brandishing a paintbrush. But we can help out with recovery. Tahoe: Lost & Found is a community art show and art auction open to all Tahoe-Truckee artists. Due date for submissions is July 28, 2008.
