Talk about artists in action.

October 1st through 4th, you can watch over 32 local and regional artists paint “en plein air” (outdoors) in various locations around the Martis Valley.

“Seasons of Martis” is part of a multi-venue exhibition celebrating the Martis Valley sponsored by North Tahoe Arts and Northstar-at-Tahoe.

Martis Valley encompasses 45,000 acres on both sides of Highway 267 between Truckee and Kings Beach. A list of participating artists and the locations at which artists will be painting are posted at www.northtahoearts.com.

The three and a 1/2 days of painting culminates with an artist’s reception, silent auction and preview sale in the evening of Saturday, October 4 at Northstar. The public exhibition and sale of all artists’ works will take place throughout the day on Sunday, October 5 all in the Village at Northstar.
