Wine lovers and foodies unite at this annual event to raise money for Truckee non-profits.
Last year Matt Rusanoff, a Truckee native, whose passion and love for Truckee accelerated the preservation of this historic town was honored.
In it’s fifth year, this event showcases the shops, restaurants and artists of historic Truckee.
For 2008, a percentage of the proceeds will go to the PTO Special Friends Program.

About Matt Rusanoff:
Matt was a community leader, activist and volunteer. He lived life to the fullest while whole heartedly embracing an ethic of service above self. Matt embraced his family, friends and community and dedicated his life to making Truckee a better place. He thrived in social situations, relished large dinner parties, was passionate about music and always looked forward to a good wine tasting. Everything Matt did, he did with vigor and passion.
Matt’s love and joy of music was honored at the 2007 Downtown Truckee Wine, Walk & Shop. Money raised from the 2007 event helped to purchase instruments for the Truckee High School Band. The instruments were engraved with Matt’s name and were made available to students who cannot afford to purchase their own.
Matt’s energy, keen intellect, quick wit and sense of humor will be remembered by everyone who knew him. His irreverent style, gregarious nature and great knowledge of wine will be eternally missed at every Downtown Truckee Wine, Walk & Shop event.
