If you’ve ever wanted to play poker with your dog, here’s your chance.
4rd Annual Mutt Strut Poker Run by ACT
Sunday, October 12
Ski Run Blvd.
11am
Walk, or run, 1.2 miles with your dog while you build your poker hand. All the proceeds benefit ACT’s spay-neuter program and the El Dorado County Animal Shelter. The 2007 event raised $1,500.
There will be music, games, a big raffle, and prizes for the best poker hands. Event t-shirts can be purchased too to help benefit ACT.
Registration - 11am, exact location TBD
- $15 for the first poker hand
- $25 for 3 hands includes giveaway bag, water, snack and one raffle ticket per hand.

What is ACT? The Animal Coalition of Tahoe
Animal Coalition of Tahoe (ACT) is an all-volunteer, nonprofit corporation that sponsors several fund raisers each year to support a spay-neuter program for south Tahoe residents, plus 10% of all funds raised are donated to the El Dorado County Animal Shelter. The Animal Shelter is currently being rebuilt, and ACT has committed to paying for an additional 100 feet of fencing for dog runs. We are hopeful that enough funds will be raised in the coming year to also pay for surfacing the runs, ideally with an all-weather artificial grass.
