September highlights the best of our local acts with local musicians, local art, local writers and local performers as part of the Valhalla Arts, Music & Theatre Festival.

Independent Film Night
Valhalla Boathouse Theatre $5/$3
Dave and Jan Arnett, organizers of the Tibetan Festival, will be presenting, “Heart of Tibet,” an hour long film about the plight of Tibet. - Thursday, Sep. 4 at 7:30pm
Blue Turtle Seduction
Valhalla Boathouse Theatre - $15/$12/$5
As part of the Multicultural Healing Festival, Blue Turtle Seduction will spread the positive vibes with their high energy performance and concious lyrics. - Saturday, Sep. 6 at 7:30pm
Kartik Seshadri concert
Valhalla Boathouse Theatre - $15/$12/$5
The Multicultural Healing Festival ends with a concert by internationally renowned sitar player Kartik Seshadri. His concert has been called “gripping, intensely beautiful and melodious.” - Tuesday, Sep. 16 at 7:30pm
Grooveland
Valhalla Grand Hall - $10/$5
The Grooveland Quartet out of South Lake Tahoe describes its music as “An eclectic mix of all the great jazz, funk, fusion, folk, and rock music of the last thirty years…but in the end, original, driving, raw, and always new.” - Wednesday, Sep. 17 at 7:30pm
Independent Film Night

Andrew McKnight Guitar Concert
Valhalla Boathouse Theatre - $15/$12/$5The National Theatre called McKnight’s performance a blend of “wry and romantic stories with tuneful observations in a delicious mix of folk, blues and bluegrass.” - Friday, Sep. 19 at 6:00pm to 9pm
Tahoe: Lost & Found Art Auction
Inspired by Fire: Expressions of a Community One Year after Angora.

6pm to 7pm - art preview and reception
Live auction featuring local art from 21 artists to help raise money for library books lost in homes affected by the Angora fire last summer. Artwork captures our sense of what was lost in the fire, as well as what we found: in ourselves as individuals; as a community; and in the landscape. Tahoe Dance Band
