Each year, the Lake Tahoe Community College gives students the opportunity to live and learn out of the country.
Well how does learning art in Florence, Italy sound with LTCC Art Instructor and renowned local artist, Phyllis Shafer?

Details:
- Four-week study abroad program, October 2 - 31, 2009.
- Study Italian with a local instructor.
- Study Art History, Drawing from Observation, and Plein-Air Water-Media Painting with renowned artist and LTCC Art instructor, Phyllis Shafer. Phyllis has mastered plein-air painting and several of her paintings have been shown internationally. She has a strong following of worldwide collectors.

- Live in apartments located within the Historic city center.
- Cultural activities, such as cooking classes and wine tasting, will also be included.
- On-site student advisor available for guidance and traveling assistance.
- Students 18 years old or older are welcome on the trip!
- Weekend trip to Rome. Trip includes round-trip transportation by train, two-nights hotel accommodation, entrance fees with a guided tour to the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, Colosseum and Roman Forum, a travel pass for use on the metro system and buses, and services of travel guide throughout.
