Sizzling sunsets set the stage followed by alpenglow, and finally a pitch black sky illuminates the stars and planets.

Try a telescopic tour of the sky this September.

Tahoe Adventure Company and Tony Berendsen, award winning astronomer and current president of the Northern Nevada Science Coalition and past President of the Astronomical Society of Nevada, will take you on a guided sunset kayak or hike, followed by a brilliant tour of the starry sky.

Here’s the line up of upcoming tours:

September 6~ Pegasus and the Andromeda Galaxy on the Rise
Time: 6pm to 10pm
Location: Tahoe Vista Recreation Area
Details: Sunset Kayak followed by Star Tour
Cost: $65 per person

September 24 ~ Cygnus the Swan Crosses the Sky
Time: 5:30 to 9:30pm
Location: Tahoe Vista Recreation Area
Details: Sunset Kayak followed by Star Tour
Cost: $65 per person

October 4 ~ The Planet Uranus Meets Aquarius
Time: 5pm to 9pm
Location: North Tahoe Regional Park
Details: Sunset Hike followed by Star Tour
Cost: $65 per person
