Please welcome the Venerable Lama Phuntsho during his first visit to Lake Tahoe in three occasions. Lama Phuntsho is an ordained Buddhist Monk, teacher and translator. He was born in 1966 in Thimphu, Bhutan.

Join Lama Phuntsho in a casual interfaith dialogue on how simple Buddhist practices may be integrated into one’s personal spiritual practice. Lama Phuntsho will discuss primary methods such as how to generate the proper motivation in meditation, how to do right action particularly when facing difficult times, and how one may dedicate their spiritual prayers or practices for the benefit of all beings. Lama Phuntsho will close the evening by leading a guided meditation.

Lama Phuntsho will offer a slideshow of the life of Tibetan Buddhist monks, his residence house of H.E. Kensur Rinpoche Jampa Yeshe, and H.H. the Dalai Lama’s historic visit to Gaden in exile in 2007.

Meditation and Mala Workshop
Lama Phuntsho will offer a guided meditation practice using a mala (rosary) and discuss how one may use a mala in their own spiritual practice. Students will have the opportunity to string their own mala. Children most welcome. Bring your own beads or beads will also available for purchase.
