Hey you creative skiers!
Alpine Meadows needs your help at renaming 3 trails, and you could win a mid week pass.
Back in the 1960s when the trails at Alpine Meadows were being constructed, three intermediate trails were hastily named after the survey tape they used. They’re called Red, Green and Blue.
Finally…40 years later the resort is going to rename the trails. This time they’re asking their skiers and riders to name them since they know the mountain better than anyone, except maybe the Alpine patrol dogs.
Great idea!
So put on your thinking cap or ski helmet. Make the name/names memorable, meaningful and appropriate. They have to stick way past you…
Submit as many names as you wish online at www.skialpine.com. Entry is free. Deadline is Friday, Sept 12.
Once all suggested names are collected, a select group of Alpine Meadows employees will vote on the best to determine the final decisions.
Prizes? Of Course!
1. First Prize (best name):
Adult Midweek season pass for winter 2008/2009. (I’m in.)
2. Second Prize:
All-day private tour of Alpine with lift line privileges for a maximum of five people.
3. Third Prize:
Sunset snowcat ride for up to eight people. Date is flexible, weather permitting.
Trail name winners will be announced Tuesday, September 22, at SkiAlpine.com.
