“Songs of the Earth” Trails & Vistas, Sept 6-7

You’ve never seen anything like this.

It’s an artwalk that celebrates the environment through dance, music and art.

What started as a small grass roots event by local artists has blossomed into one of the most unique collaborations between nature and art that attracts visitors from all over.

Trails and Vistas is an interactive art walk and art show where participants take a leisurely hike while enjoying live performances such as music, poetry and dance and installation art set in the natural environment.

Along the hike, you’ll come upon different art pieces that reflect the union between art and nature, and performers showcasing different music and dance styles.

Each year, Trails and Vistas Founder Nancy Tieken Lopez works with choreographer and Executive Director of InnerRhythms Dance Theatre in Truckee, Elizabeth Archer, to create the interactive art walk where the participants become part of the experience. Over 30 performers and artists from Tahoe, Truckee and around the country explore the intrinsic connections between us and the universe around us.

This year’s theme is Songs of the Earth.
