Talk about full circle.
Having met at Fallen Leaf Lake, local band Blue Turtle Seduction will be playing right across the highway at Valhalla on September 4.
Blue Turtle Seduction from South Lake Tahoe has built a solid fan base over the last 4 years of touring and recording music throughout the lower 48 states and Hawaii.
In 2006, the Band played more shows than anyone in the country (225). This schedule allowed for not only the refining of their live performances, but also their song crafting, adding to their large repertoire of original songs.
And, you know they’ll put on a great show in their favorite local venue.
Blue Turtle Seduction
Valhalla Boathouse Theatre at the Tallac Historic Site, South Shore
Thursday, Sept 4 @ 7:30pm
$15 general admission, $12 students and seniors and $5 for children.
The band is known for its uncanny ability to play a wide range of music, and features Adam Navone on drums, Steve Seals on bass, Jay A. Seals on vocals and guitar, Glenn Stewart on vocals, harmonica, and flute, and Christian Zupancic on vocals, violin, and mandolin.
Their latest album, 13 Floors, was hailed by Jambase as “an international rump shaker, an energized, brightly melodic mind-bomb that’d fit in speakeasies from The Appalachians to Kingston to Amsterdam and back to their home base in California.”
Blue Turtle’s music is guaranteed to move you with rhythms and thought provoking lyrics that push the limits of style and genre. So what kind of music is it?
We’ve heard everything from jam-newgrass, gypsy rock…like Duran Duran meets String Cheese Incident, meets the Clash … heck just go to the show and check it out for yourself!
