Go Native. Sell your Lawn for $2 per sqft

While lawns are great for defensible space and aesthetics, they are also the most water intensive landscaping option and a major polluter of the lake.

Not too mention - a time waster….if you’d rather be playing.

While we are all trying to save water and the lake, this is one of the most progressive, sustainable ideas in the Tahoe Basin.

Turf Buy-Back Program by STPUD

The South Tahoe Public Utility District (STPUD) was recently been awarded two state water conservation grants that allow for the voluntary buy-back of lawns, at $2.00 per square foot, for customers who wish to replace their lawns with attractive, but less water intensive landscaping options.

It’s Easy!

Click here to learn more and get started. Make some $, free yourself and help clean up the lake.

Great idea STPUD!
