She has definitely mastered the fine art of living in Tahoe.
Meet Lynn Woodward - Painter, Potter, Sailor and Skier.
Lynn has lived in South Shore since 1999, where she enjoys the good life.
For Lynn that means skiing, sailing (year round in the bay area when she’s not skiing), painting, making pottery and teaching others.
In addition to creating large decorative pottery with her signature swirl design like this Blue Swirl Vase pictured here, Lynn is well known for her stunning impressionistic watercolor paintings of Tahoe landscapes and European countrysides and coastal towns.
Lynn is also an accomplished sailor. In 2007 she won the Lake Tahoe Windjammers Tahoe Cup.
That means Lynn won 8 of the major club races including the Southern Crossing and the Single Handed Race in her Moore 24, Aprés Ski.
Always one to share her passion for sailing and art, Lynn spends a lot of time teaching. She loves to inspire people to creatively express themselves with either a paint brush or sailing sheets.
In fact, Lynn will be teaching the Tahoe Windjammers Yacht Club 2008 Women Sail Clinic on July 12. Click here for more info.
And she teaches ceramics, print-making and watercolor painting at Lake Tahoe Community College.
You can find Lynn either on the water, Heavenly, out in nature painting, in her studio making pottery or via email at potterybylynn@gmail.com
