“Nature’s Light”, a one-woman show by Tahoe photographer, Susan Hartzell, will be featured at the South Lake Tahoe library through July 15.
Susan uses film and does not digitally alter her images. She focuses on shapes and colors found in nature, and uses only natural light to achieve her stunning results.
Hartzell, a resident of South Lake Tahoe for 27 years, started taking photos after enrolling in a class at the Lake Tahoe Community College. She has successfully balanced several roles: mother, nurse, world traveller, board member, and in the past year: surviver of the Angora Fire. She lost her home and many of her photographs and negatives in the fire.
Photography is her passion. She has won numerous awards and recognition for her images, and her works are featured in several private collections.
