It’s such a nice surprise. And, often goes unnoticed.
A lone cabin smack dab in the middle of Tahoe City, overlooking Common’s Beach.
But, what is it?
Watson Cabin Museum
The cabin was built in 1908 by Robert M. Watson and his son, Robert, and is the oldest building constructed onsite in Tahoe City. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. While it depicts the simplicity of early pioneer life and building construction, the Watson’s were ahead of their time. The cabin had indoor plumbing.
Truly a Tahoe gem that is well worth a visit.
