Truckee River Duck Races & Dogs in Duds raise $ for Humane Society June 8

Dogs, and their owners, and some rubber ducks will be raising money for the Tahoe/Truckee Humane Society June 8.

Not sure how the two were combined, but heck - why not?

It’s time for the 5th Annual Truckee Duck Races and “Dogs in Duds” contest.

Sunday, June 8

River Ranch Lodge

• 3pm - Dogs in Duds contest - no entry fee.
  Celebrity (?) judges will award prizes for the top three costumes.

• 4pm - The Duck Races - $10 to sponsor a duck!
  The top 3 ducks will win cash prizes.

Besides dressing up your dog and floating rubber ducks down the Truckee River there will be live music, $2.50 Coors Light drafts, $3.50 River Rum Punch and a raffle for a Giant mountain bike, ski lift tickets, dinner and lots of shwag (maybe even a rubber duck).

All proceeds from both the duck races and the raffle will benefit the Humane Society of Tahoe/Truckee.
