Learn about Lake Tahoe’s underwater geology and safe paddling techniques as you glide along the east shore route of the LT Water Trail.

Sand Harbor State Park
• 9 am launch; 12:30 BBQ on the beach
• $20 adults ($2 discount for LTWT members)
• $10 kids under age 15; Kids under 5 are free
Please bring your own kayak (or canoe), and a life jacket or PFD. See below for boat rental options.

Event Highlights:
- Paddle with local geologists who will highlight the visible features of the origins of Lake Tahoe.
- Learn to be paddle-safe with members of the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
- Join members of the Lake Tahoe Water Trail Committee for a BBQ lunch featuring local beer from New Belgium (non-alcoholic drinks also available).
Kayak Rentals:
The following kayak shops rent boats. Ask them if they will deliver to the park - some will deliver rental boats with a minimum of several boat rentals.
