Plein Air Painting at Pope Beach, May 18

Pope Marsh.
It’s the quintessential spot for bird watching in South Shore.
Right now with the Pope Beach gate locked, you can only enter this bird mecca by foot or by bike.
It’s a treat to watch the transformation of the marsh. Frozen just a month ago, right now it is bursting with lily pads, frogs, birds and coyote. Pope Marsh is a perfect place to enjoy spring migrants. Watch for the wood ducks in the weeds.
To capture this special moment in Tahoe, Dave Russo of the Tahoe Art League is holding a free outdoor painting class. There will be no formal instruction. Just good clean fun!
