Kings Beach Gallery hosts Art Classes

Lakeside Gallery in Kings Beach.

For over 30 years, Lakeside Gallery has been a favorite place for local artists. To keep the creative juices flowing, the gallery is offering the following art classes and workshops.

Wednesdays:

Drop-in painting from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. $15 includes a chair, easel, warm comfortable setting, hot coffee and interaction with other artists.

Wednesday Life Drawing night from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Live models will be provided, so bring a sketchpad and drawing materials. Class size will be limited to 8 and attendees will need to confirm by the Tuesday before each class. $20 per session.

Painting classes in oils and acrylics also are available, by request, taught by local artists Lola Owen, Terry Tangney and Meera Beser. Prices vary so call for more information.

6-week Portrait Class by Deborah von Zink
Starts January 29
Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to noon

Von Zink will start with composition in charcoal and pencil and continue through the six weeks with pen, ink and paint depending on how well everyone progresses.
