Meet well-known poets and writers from around the country at The LTCC Writers’ Series.
Free to the public with refreshments.
Kate Gale is a poet, writer and founding editor of Red Hen Press.
Kate has a BA/MA in English with emphasis on Creative Writing and a Ph.D. in American Literature from Claremont Graduate University.
She has composed four books of poetry, a novel, a bilingual children’s book, edited three literary anthologies, and recently completed the libretto for the opera “Rio de Sangre” by Don Davis.
She will read from her work, answer questions, and sign books in the LTCC Library at 7 pm on Friday, April 11.
About The Writers’ Series:
The English department, in conjunction with the LTCC Foundation, has created the LTCC Writers’ Series that brings well-known poets and writers from all over the country to the college for readings, book signings, craft talks, and workshops. All events are free and open to the public.
To date, LTCC has hosted writers such as Luis Rodriguez, Dorianne Laux, Joseph Millar, Holly Payne, Kevin Clark, Gailmarie Pahmeier, Sholeh Wolpé, David Daniel, H.L. Hix, Francisco Jimenez, Juan Felipe Herrera, and Chris Abani. We also sponsor faculty readings, poetry open mic nights, and the annual Kokane Literary Journal award reading.
