Groove Like Me. I Swear. City. In the Heart of It.

If not, click here to listen to local SS band, Ten Cent Lure.

Brewed in the heart of the Sierras, Ten Cent Lure is quickly emerging as one of the hottest new acts on the Tahoe scene. Ten Cent Lure draws from a diverse background and combines elements of Rock, Funk, Groove, and yes, even Country to create their trademark Funkin’ Swanky Tonk sound.

We are committed to covering multiple genres of music while retaining an original sound and use a simple formula to get it done. 1.Define a Groove 2. Make it move in time 3. Make it our own 4. Blow it up together.

Laying down the Law on bass is Chad Oleson. Cool and steady, Chaz provides driving grooves that always mesh in time with Mike Wilders drums. Mike’s old school style and unique vocals are lively and add flare to the bands sound. On guitars, Sean Groover’s smoothe rhythms and Jason Sherman’s improv riffs and melodies intertwine and blend seemlessly together. Sean and Jason also each deliver gallons of heart and soul in their lyrics and vocals. Currently, Jon “Fuzzy” Oxendine is providing percussion, washboard, and other sounds to the band. Fuzzy has been Jerry Miller’s drummer for over 30 years and is really good, nuff said. Shows often feature special acts and guest appearances are always welcome.
