It’s imperative to know how to read a chart.
While we rarely get fog on Tahoe, we can get some very big conditions right out of the blue. Like squalls and down bursts. And, what if it’s dark and you don’t have a line of sight?
Winging it won’t fly.
You need to know how to pinpoint exactly where you are so you don’t hit another boater or land.
In this class you’ll learn how to navigate with a nautical chart using latitude and longitude, water depth, bottom structure, aids to navigation and more. You’ll also learn how paper and electronic charts are created, how they are structured and inherent errors on charts.
What a great deal. Get smart and be smart on the water.
