Keep Tahoe Clean and help reduce the risk of West Nile Virus.
@ Eastern Regional Landfill in North Shore.
YUK!
Did you know….
- All those unused tires lying around your yard can trap water and provide vector breeding grounds (West Nile Virus), as well as provide homes for rodents and other unwanted pests.
- And tires are flammable, and can potentially burn hot enough to create an oil run off which could contaminate soil and ground water.
Solution!
Take up to 9 waste tires per load to Eastern Regional Landfill (ERL)
(It’s illegal to haul more than 9 tires at one time without a special hauling variance.)
Passenger car, tires with studs, light truck and SUV tires ONLY.
NO oversized or tires on rims please.
ERL is open Monday - Saturday 8am - 4 pm
