treework.JPGUnique.

One of a kind, exclusive, distinctive, uncommon, rare.

You know “unique” can be an overused adjective that doesn’t always live up to its label.

However, this new shop in historic Truckee sounds like it may be able to pull it off.

The Feather’s Edge specializes in sustainable, recycled, and all natural materials.

Check out these unique gifts:recycled.JPG

  • Totes made from reclaimed oak wine barrels, salvaged fabrics and banners.
  • Vintage prune drying racks made from old growth redwood (which can be used as a table top, art display for the wall, a partition….)
  • Wine racks made from reclaimed wood & metal.
  • Hand stitched silk throws.
  • Fun and healthy toys & t’s for kids.
  • Necklaces made from recycled glass and Scrabble pieces!
  • Stuffed bears & bunnies made from recycled sweaters.
  • Bowls made from organic bamboo and recycled chopsticks.

Owner, Steph Spencer, an avid telemark skier and adventurer recently moved to Truckee from Bear Valley. Sounds like a familiar story. She was drawn to Truckee because of the community, mountain culture and commitment to conscious living.

Like minded proprietors have flocked together in Brickell Town to provide a complimentary mix of goods and services including Riverside Studios, Fair & Green, Drake & Lulu’s, Small Pond, and Blue Sky Home Center that has revitalized the community.

Join us as we welcome Steph and check out her unique collection.
