That’s why he participates in the Smiles for Kids program every February.

Meet Dr. Eric Park.

This South Lake Tahoe dentist has been providing free dental care to underprivileged children for the past five years. The 2008 free clinic will take place once again in February. Keep posted for the date.

The Smiles for Kids program is presented by the Sacramento District Dental Society in conjunction with Children’s Dental Health Month and the American Dental Association’s “Give Kids a Smile” program. The program started in 1991 with participating dentists throughout the region who provide free dental care to those who do not have dental insurance or any other means for dental care. In 2007, over 127 dentists volunteered and helped 718 kids. Wow!

Dr. Park says there are other dentists in Tahoe who also volunteer.

If that’s not enough, Dr. Park also donates his time and expertise to teach dental students in the U.S. and other countries including Mexico, Tanzania, Belize, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Peru and Fiji.

We salute Dr. Park and our other outstanding dentists and doctors who walk the talk. And they do it with a smile of course!
