Caples Lake ice skating closed due to Approaching Storm. Yippee!

Rarely can you skate on Caples Lake.
But the Xmas Valley/Kirkwood crew was able to fit it in before the big storm on December 17.
This is a photo of LaVon Whipple who owns Elevations Massage in South Lake Tahoe.
She and the gang were taking advantage of the cold temps skating at Echo, Kirkwood, Woods and Caples lakes throughout December.
Truly a rare occasion in Tahoe to be able to skate in the middle of these mountain gems.
For those of you still jonesing to ice skate, head to Squaw’s High Camp, the South Lake Tahoe Recreation Center, Northstar-at-Tahoe or the Heavenly Village.
