ann1.jpg“The time when I am the most immersed in the present is when I paint,” she says.

“I lose conscious track of time in the translation of light and color into oil and watercolor paintings. For me painting ‘plein air’ or on location is the greatest joy.”

Meet Ann Nichols. Fine art watercolors and oil paintings.

More about Ann:

I go out on my boat with my two dogs, Teddy and Grace, and we have a ball on the east shore beaches. My love of travel with my partner, Scott Tieche, has provided exotic locales for adventure and painting.

I’ve lived at Tahoe for 37 years and have created art since I could pick up a pencil. My life here is living proof you can have two vastly different careers at the same time. In addition to art, I have sold real estate in Tahoe since 1972.

I live for weather and love downhill skiing in raging storms. Another joy is hiking the Sierra.
