Founder of Clif Bar and author of “Raising the Bar”, Gary Erickson is a super friendly, down-to-earth, adventure seeking, backcountry enthusiast. Gary has been climbing, skiing, and cycling in the Sierra for decades. Prepare to be inspired to start pedaling to far off reaches of the world after the show. Gary is proof that incredible companies are often run by incredible people, and we are lucky to have him as a part-time Tahoe/Truckee local.

Kris Erickson - Skiing the Thin Air, The ups and downs of skiing 8000 meter peaks
Kris Erickson has brought his camera to the highest points, coldest reaches, and most untouched folds of the planet’s geography. What’s more, he is not merely a shutterbug who stands idle to the side of any expedition. Instead, he tackles the same challenging mountaineering projects as the world’s other top-flight climbers, often combining his abilities to ascend difficult mountains with a love and passion for true mountain-sliding descents. This is called “glisse alpinism” and, when combined with a remote photoshoot, it is Erickson”s idea of nirvana.

From her unlikely beginnings in Suburban New Jersey to Alpine ascents in the faraway karakorum Mountains of Pakistan, Zoe will take us on a journey of stories and images of her life as a Femme Guide in Chamonix, Alpine “dating”, exotic travel, skiing, climbing and all the ups, downs, epics and successes that have kept her hopping. Her dynamic personality and witty humor is contagious and will guarantee an entertaining and inspiring evening.

Dave Nettle - Patagonia-Alpine Climbing in the Land of Wind and Rock
Join Tahoe local Dave Nettle for a presentation about Alpine rock climbing in Patagonia. The show will highlight six climbs from several trips to this amazing place of granite towers including Fitz Roy, Torre Central and Cerro Torre. His stories and images will show why he has become hopelessly addicted to this land of wonderful people, spectacular scenery and some of the wildest weather on earth.
One of the best parts of the show is the presenter, Dave Nettle. Dave’s gift for storytelling and spectacular images make his deep love of the mountains, travel and exploration contagious. He’s an inspiration to us all to follow our dreams.
